How I Work In GroupsSome of my strengths in work groups are persistence and collaborating. I am persistent in trying to get the job done and work through the tough spots. I like to take different people's ideas and collaborate and good middle ground.
My challenges are being a risk-taker, and being a total doormat. My background was one that if you mess up you get in A LOT of trouble so i struggle with risk taking. Do to said back ground i feel like i don't deserve a voice and let others walk all over me and my ideas ( not physically walk on me though). I do have a couple of friends that look out for me and try to make sure that i don't get used as a doormat, as well as help me to have more self confidence and self respect. I'm not sure that i will ever be an academical risk taker, it just doesn't seem like something i'm cut out for. -Naomi

Project FeedbackI would like to see this project become a success academically as well as creating a fun way to learn about the cycle of socialization. If this exhibition is a success then I believe that everyone will come away with a better understanding.
Something that I would like to hear from others is that they had a good time and have a better perspective on socialization. To make sure that we are getting the information correct we will need to talk with our teachers and others that have experience with this subject. -Naomi Things Get RealOver the last two weeks we have been working on ideas to help make our Mask Project exhibition unique and meaningful.
This exhibition is trying to address the problem in our socity of not knowing or understanding socialization. We are trying to address that with a social action, that action is hopefully going to be our exhibition. The top idea for our exhibition was a maze like experience, I would go into details but we don't have any set in stone. When we originally started the group brainstorming process the group and I had a similar idea as the maze, so I feel very excited about working on this idea i feel that this exhibition will be very beneficial for our community. Unfortunately to execute this exhibition in the way we would like we would need extra funds, so we would need to do some fundraising, I think that being apart of fundraising team would be an interesting and beneficial experience for me because I generally avoid all contact with others and need to work on my social skills. The last two weeks helped me to understand how to work in a group. I learned that i really need to try to speak up and not just let people walk all over me and my voice. I also got to experience how a project based school, such as Animas, works for the first time. -Naomi |
